Tehillim 6

Tehillim (Book of Psalms), Chapter 6

'"`UNIQ--named-00000000-QINU`"'1 For the Leader; with string-music; on the Sheminith. A Psalm of David.

'"`UNIQ--named-00000001-QINU`"'2 O HaShem, rebuke me not in Thine anger, neither chasten me in Thy wrath.

'"`UNIQ--named-00000002-QINU`"'3 Be gracious unto me, O HaShem, for I languish away; heal me, O HaShem, for my bones are affrighted.

'"`UNIQ--named-00000003-QINU`"'4 My soul also is sore affrighted; and Thou, O HaShem, how long?

'"`UNIQ--named-00000004-QINU`"'5 Return, O HaShem, deliver my soul; save me for Thy mercy's sake.

'"`UNIQ--named-00000005-QINU`"'6 For in death there is no remembrance of Thee; in the nether-world who will give Thee thanks?

'"`UNIQ--named-00000006-QINU`"'7 I am weary with my groaning; every night make I my bed to swim; I melt away my couch with my tears.

'"`UNIQ--named-00000007-QINU`"'8 Mine eye is dimmed because of vexation; it waxeth old because of all mine adversaries.

'"`UNIQ--named-00000008-QINU`"'9 Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity; for HaShem hath heard the voice of my weeping.

'"`UNIQ--named-00000009-QINU`"'10 HaShem hath heard my supplication; HaShem receiveth my prayer.

'"`UNIQ--named-0000000A-QINU`"'11 All mine enemies shall be ashamed and sore affrighted; they shall turn back, they shall be ashamed suddenly.
