Progress in creation.

§ 1.

REPORTS OF THE MAN WITH THE EARTH.

We do not abandon our general topic is the study of ideas that constitute universal religion in Judaism by examining the doctrine of progress not only in humans but also in the world. We would remain faithful to the plan we have outlined, even if no link connected to the earth Adam. But the link exists, so before addressing the question of the general progress of the land, we first study the relationship between man and the world he inhabits. We say primarily, as a careful examination has convinced us and as we hope to demonstrate to the reader, that [1] to traditional Judaism, man or mankind in general is vis- à-vis the globe in the reports of the soul with the body. For the Hebrew tradition, Adam form the cosmos, but it is also true to say that the cosmos as Adam, or rather he gives his body, just as the soul of each of us, which first builds its own physical remains, it then used it as an instrument and body for its various functions. We know there nowadays philosophers and scientists who believe the sensitivity and awareness spread more or less everywhere: "From a microscopic egg," said Mr. Hesse, a man out with the germs of all the intellectual faculties and moral one sees that nothing is natural. It is not less than worlds, organizations and thinking beings have a starting point of their development centers of cosmic action and reaction. These centers of power are also germs "[2]. And Mr. Seailles told his side: "The earth is not she a real person, an organic system, a real person? "[3]

But rather see the Hebraic ideas that interest us particularly. We know that the common opinion is that Adam has been called by this name because it was pulled from the earth, adama . But the Bible says nothing about it and if we recall the analogy of the Hebrew words isch, Ischa , man, woman, and the intimate relationship in which man is placed by the Bible itself with the earth, it is perhaps not an excessive boldness to see the names Adam, Adam, the idea that the earth has rights for spouses. It is he who is called to fill in and submit it to dominate all other creatures that inhabit it. A man lies a complete work of transformation, or rather of ownership, so that the land be used as an instrument obedient to his will. We have already quoted the rabbinic legends which show an Adam with a stature such that it reached heaven and embraces the world from one end to another. This Adam is somehow identified with earth in human form. Also we hear the rabbis tell us that everything that exists in man has its counterpart in the ground [4]. This is what is called the doctrine of the macrocosm through the microcosm with the antithesis, which is man, and the first is a consequence of [5] it, because if Man is the world short, the world must be a great man.

The story of Adam also offers more than one analogy with that of the earth. Our world is cursed and fallen with him, he must get up with him in the palingenesis. The second idea was that sometimes mistakenly believed foreign to the Bible, however, is a logical continuation of the first: since man has led to land in the fall, is it not reasonable to believe that it will participate, she also to the regeneration of mankind?

When referring to the law of man, we see that for Judaism in the statute creating the universe, the universal Logos, the Wisdom of Proverbs to be confused with the Logos or human, to use the language of the fourth gospel light that enlightens every man in this world [6]. And as the Logos is in full humanity as a whole, humanity, or Adam and summarizing representative, who is the world soul .

"Do we believe that the body of man is what we commonly call by that name? Rather, we believe it is the nucleus of another great body very differently, because we have to think that organic envelope which will be used as a compound of concentric and expansive force can only restrict or expand at every change, however small, which occurs in two major areas of concentration and dissolution component Material World. The whole universe may be considered in that our own body. " It is an Italian philosopher, Dr. Fornari, expressed as [7] and translated into scientific language similar ideas in various mythologies. These ideas are only the development of this short form Midrasch us this as clearly as possible the theory of Adam, the world soul: "And God's spirit hovered over the waters [8] ". This, say the Rabbis, the soul or spirit of the first Adam. " This comment is sufficient to establish rabbinic Judaism believes that the relations of man with our land. Lets see what idea Judaism has made progress in establishing itself. [9]
